# Create a Plaid Link token

`POST /plaid/link-token`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1`
- URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1/plaid/link-token`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`

Issues a Plaid Link token and a server-side attempt id. Use update mode for the same institution login when repairing it or adding another account.

## Request body

- object
  - `mode` 'connect' | 'update'
  - `itemId` string, uuid: Connection id (required for update mode)
  - `intent` 'connect' | 'reconnect' | 'add_accounts' | 'enable_statements'
  - `allowSeparateInstitutionLogin` boolean: Set only after the user explicitly chooses credentials for a different login at the institution.
  - `transactionStartDate` string, date: First transaction date to import for a new connection, no more than two years before today. Required by LedgerHQ user interfaces in connect mode and ignored in update mode.
