# Save the Gusto payroll booking setup

`PUT /payroll/setup`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1`
- URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1/payroll/setup`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`

Saves the setup (a draft until finished) and keeps one bank rule per liability payment so Bank Feeds and Tally suggest the liability. Books nothing.

## Request body

- object
  - `config` object, required: {groups, employees, items} as returned by GET /payroll/setup.
  - `mode` 'review' | 'auto'

## Response `200`

Same shape as GET /payroll/setup.

## Other responses

- `422`: Unknown group or account, or a held amount not aimed at a liability account.
