# Parse a payroll report and preview the proposed entry

`POST /payroll-report-review/parse`

Parses a payroll provider report (v1: Gusto Payroll Journal Summary by Employee CSV) from a Tally chat attachment or workspace file, matches the report company, loads saved account mappings, snapshots what payroll cash is currently coded to in the pay period, and returns the proposed balanced journal entry. When payroll cash is already booked, the entry is a true-up reclass out of the currently used accounts; otherwise it accrues to clearing and liability accounts. Amounts in integer cents. Nothing is posted. Scoped to the authorized organization.

## Request body

- object
  - `evidenceId` string, uuid: Tally chat attachment UUID containing the payroll report CSV. Provide exactly one of evidenceId or workspaceFileId.
  - `workspaceFileId` string, uuid: Workspace file UUID (for example in the company's Payroll folder). Provide exactly one of evidenceId or workspaceFileId.
  - `entryDate` string: Optional journal entry date override; defaults to the pay period end.
