# Update assignment, follow-up schedule, or due date

`PATCH /firm/client-requests/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1`
- URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1/firm/client-requests/{id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`

Assignment changes route through the lifecycle service (a firm takeover stops Tally's outbound replies). Follow-up fields set or pause the automatic follow-up cadence. Null clears a nullable field.

  - `assignedUserId` string, uuid, nullable: Firm member to assign when assignedActor is firm_user. Defaults to the caller.

  - `followUpState` 'active' | 'paused'

  - `request` object: Full client-request detail: workflow state, assignment, follow-up schedule, participants, message thread, companyName, assignedUserName, sending flag, and optional bankConnectionProgress for an exactly linked bank-connection task, including link.status (open, completed, cancelled, or expired) and link.expiresAt for the client's link.
    - `lastClientReply` object, nullable: Plain-language outcome of the latest client reply, or null when the client has not replied.
