# Soft-delete a contact with no activity

`DELETE /contacts/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1`
- URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1/contacts/{id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`

Deletes only a contact nothing references. A contact with bank transactions, bank rules, invoices, quotes, credit notes, bills, purchase orders, payments, checks, recurring or scheduled payments, projects, deals, subscriptions, 1099/W-9 records, a TIN, or contact people is refused with 409 code contact_has_activity and an activity list; mark it inactive with PATCH isActive=false instead.
