# Confirm a reconciliation starting point

`POST /bank-accounts/{id}/starting-point`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1`
- URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1/bank-accounts/{id}/starting-point`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`

Establishes the starting point from optional OCR statement evidence or a manually entered date and balance. Marks posted imported history through the cutoff reconciled except selected outstanding items. Later imports and posted non-import activity remain available. Use preview:true to see the balance tally without writing.

  - `statementEndingBalance` integer, required: Raw institution statement ending balance in cents; LedgerHQ applies bank/credit-card sign convention

  - `outstandingTransactionIds` string[]: Posted imported transaction UUIDs on or before the setup date that remain outstanding.
  - `outstandingItems` object[]
    - `date` string, date, required

    - `amount` integer, required: Signed ledger cents: outstanding checks negative, deposits in transit positive
  - `preview` boolean
