# Change a bank account reconciliation start date

`PATCH /bank-accounts/{id}/reconciliation-start-date`

## Request

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`

Changes the durable lower boundary for statement expectations and reconciliation work atomically with transaction statuses. Unassigned history before the date becomes reconciled except explicit outstanding carry-forwards. Moving earlier makes newly included history unreconciled across all sources. Excluded rows and existing session links are preserved by the status synchronization; existing affected-period reopening rules still apply.

  - `reason` string: Optional audit reason for changing the date.

Start date changed with reopened reconciliation and transaction counts
