# Verify IBAN Ownership

`POST /verifications/v2/iban`

## Request

The Account Verification Service API allows you to check account ownership, confirming whether your customer is the owner of the IBAN they have provided you with.

## Request body

- IbanVerificationRequest
  - `type` string: Will take the value PERSONAL for retail accounts and BUSINESS for corporate accounts. If omitted, the default behavior of the API will be applied based on the account information provided.
  - `iban` string: The International Bank Account Number (IBAN) for the account you want to verify. Must be a valid UAE IBAN.
  - `identifications` AvsIdentificationDto[]: List of identifiers for your customers.
    - `type` string: `FULL_NAME`: Complete name of the account holder `EMIRATES_ID`: Emirates identification number `TRADE_LICENCE`: Trade licence number
    - `value` string: Identification value

  - `results_id` string, uuid, required: The unique identifier for the request
  - `message` string, required: A message describing the status of the request
  - `meta` object, nullable: Meta information about the request
  - `timestamp` string, date-time, required: The datetime of when the request was made
  - `status_detail` StatusDetail, nullable
    - `granular_status_code` string, nullable: Granular status code
    - `status_additional_info` string, nullable: Additional information about the status
  - `verifications` IbanVerificationResponsePayload
    - `iban_ownership_verified` boolean: Verifying whether the account holder name provided owns the IBAN checked. Allowed values true and false
    - `matching` MatchingResult, nullable: Where `iban_ownership_verified` is false the matching attribute will identify whether there is a 'partial' or 'no match'
      - `type` 'PARTIAL' | 'NO_MATCH': Identifies whether there is a partial match or no match
      - `score` number, double: Similarity score on a scale of 0 to 1, with 0 being no similarity and 1 being high similarity.
    - `swift_code` string: Swift code that identifies the bank for international transfers
    - `bank_name` Translation
      - `en` string, required: English translation
      - `ar` string, nullable: Arabic translation
    - `bank_code` string: Bank code identifier
    - `account_status` string: Status of the bank account
    - `account_holder_name` string: Name of the account holder
    - `verification_method` 'CONFIRMATION_OF_PAYEE_SERVICE' | 'OPEN_BANKING' | 'SARIE' | 'SARIE_AND_CONFIRMATION_OF_PAYEE_SERVICE': The verification method used to verify the entity's ownership
