# Update an Unlocked List

`PATCH /profile/unlocked/lists/{list_id}`

Update list metadata. Only provided fields are updated.

Updatable fields
- `name` must be unique per account, case-insensitive.
- `color` optional UI attribute.

**Errors**
- 401 Authentication required, or invalid/expired API key.
- 404 List not found.
- 409 A list with the same name already exists.
- 422 Request validation error.

- `list_id` integer, required — ID of the list to update

- UnlockedListUpdateIn
  - `name` string, nullable
  - `color` string, nullable

## Response `200`

List updated successfully.

  - `id` integer, required
  - `name` string, required
  - `color` string, nullable, required
  - `created_at` string, nullable, required
  - `updated_at` string, nullable, required
  - `items_count` integer, nullable

## Other responses

- `401` — Authentication required, or invalid/expired API key.
