# Choose the next read

`POST /api/plan-next`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://leafle.org` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

- Auth: HTTP bearer

**Access: write token.**

Add or move a title to queue position 1. A book already read keeps its reading status and is not queued. For a new queue integration, prefer `/api/books/to-read` and `/api/books/{book_id}/queue-position`.

## Request body

- PlanNextIn
  - `title` string, required
  - `author` string, nullable
  - `reader_id` integer, nullable

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- Ok: The mutation acknowledgement: ``{"ok": true}``.
  - `ok` boolean, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or unusable credential.
- `403`: Insufficient token scope or the reader is outside your account.
- `422`: Validation Error
