# Update User Name

`PUT /v1/users/{userId}/name`

## Request

Updates the display name of an existing user.

## Path parameters

- `userId` integer, required

## Request body

- UpdateUserName: The new user name details.
  - `firstName` string, required
  - `lastName` string, required

## Response `204`

User Name updated successfully. No content returned.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request: The request is invalid or malformed (missing/incorrect parameters).
- `402`: Payment Required: The client has exceeded credit limits.
- `403`: Forbidden: The authenticated user does not have permission to access this resource.
- `404`: Not Found: The requested resource does not exist.
- `409`: Conflict: The request could not be completed due to a resource state conflict.
- `429`: Too Many Requests: Rate limit exceeded. The client has sent too many requests in a given time period
- `500`: Interval Server Error: An unexpected error occurred on the server.
