# Retrieve a Core Transaction

`GET /v2/core_transactions/{id}`

A Core Transaction object.

  - `description` string, required: Human-readable description.
  - `amount` integer, required: Signed value in minor units. Positive = credit, negative = debit.
  - `currency_code` string, required: Currency of the transaction (ISO 4217).
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required: When this transaction was created and affected the balance.
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, required: Last update timestamp.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request could not be parsed (e.g. a malformed URL).
- `403`: Invalid credentials.
- `404`: No Core Transaction with this ID exists, or it is not visible to this caller.
- `422`: The Core Transaction ID in the path is well-formed as a string but not a valid Core Transaction ID.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
- `500`: Something went wrong on Lead's side.
- `503`: The endpoint is temporarily disabled (e.g. a migration cutover). Retry after a delay.
- `504`: An upstream system (the core) timed out. Retry with backoff.
