# Trade a login code for an API key

`POST /auth/verify-code`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.lazybird.app/v1`
- URL: `https://api.lazybird.app/v1/auth/verify-code`
- Auth: none required

Returns a new API key for the account. Codes expire after 10 minutes and work once; five wrong attempts cancel the code. Each successful verification creates a new key; existing keys keep working.

## Request body

  - `email` string, email, required
  - `code` string, required: The 6-digit code from the email
  - `keyName` string: A label for the new key

## Response `200`

API key created

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid or expired code
- `429`: Too many requests; retry after `Retry-After` seconds
