# Re-check a watch now (free).

`GET /v1/watch/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://lazaretto.dev`

- Auth: none declared. Required headers: `x-watch-token`

Evaluates the watched identities against the current advisory feed at the time of the request. `newly_malicious` lists packages that were clean when you registered and are listed now; `still_malicious` were already listed then. Reading acknowledges an alert, so it is not reported as new again. An unknown id and a wrong token get the same 404.

## Response `200`

The re-check result.

## Other responses

- `404`: No such watch, or the wrong token.
- `429`: Rate limited.
- `503`: `degraded: true`: the feed could not be consulted. Not an all-clear, and nothing is acknowledged.
