# Endpoint verification

`POST endpointVerification` (webhook)

## Payload

- VerificationEvent: Sent once when a subscription is saved or its URL changes, and again on Verify. It names no order. A 2xx turns a new subscription on or moves deliveries to a changed URL; anything else leaves it as it was. The body is never read.
  - `event` 'endpoint.verification', required
  - `delivery_id` string, required
  - `subscription` object, required
    - `id` string
  - `sent_at` string, date-time, required
  - `test` true, required: Always true, so a handler that answers test events with a 2xx passes unchanged.

## Acknowledgement `200`

Any 2xx verifies the endpoint. It is never retried, apart from one resend signed with the other environment's secret after a 4xx or 5xx.
