# Save Voice

`POST /api/projects/{project_id}/voices`

Save a custom voice to Hume AI and create the database record.
This is called after the user has previewed and decided to save the voice.

## Path parameters

- `project_id` string, required

## Request body

- SaveVoiceRequest — Request schema for saving a voice - creates DB record and saves to ElevenLabs
  - `description` string, required — Voice description/prompt
  - `name` string, required — Voice name
  - `generatedVoiceId` string, required — Temporary voice ID from preview generation
  - `previewAudioBase64` string, nullable — Base64 encoded preview audio to upload to CDN
