# Create volume

`POST /storage/volumes`

Allows you to add persistent storage to a project. These volumes can be used to store data across your servers.

## Request body

- object
  - `data` object, required
    - `type` 'volumes', required
    - `attributes` object, required
      - `project` string, required — Project ID or slug
      - `name` string, required — Volume name
      - `region` string, required — Region (site) slug where the volume is provisioned
      - `size_in_gb` integer, required — Size in GB

## Response `201`
