# Create filesystem

`POST /storage/filesystems`

Allows you to add persistent storage to a project. These filesystems can be used to store data across your servers.

## Request body

- object
  - `data` object, required
    - `type` 'filesystems', required
    - `attributes` object, required
      - `project` string, required — Project ID or slug
      - `name` string, required — Filesystem name
      - `size_in_gb` integer — Size in GB (not required, default is 1500)

## Response `201`

Created
