# Update a managed database

`PATCH /managed_databases/{id}`

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Request body

- ManagedDatabaseUpdatePayload
  - `data` object
    - `type` 'managed_databases'
    - `attributes` object — At least one attribute is required. trusted_sources applies to any engine; parameters, pooler, backup and supabase apply to postgres only.
      - `trusted_sources` string[] — Array of CIDR addresses to allow connections from
      - `parameters` object — Custom PostgreSQL parameters (postgres only). Each value must fall within the selected plan's allowed range.
      - `pooler` object — PgBouncer pooler configuration (postgres only)
      - `backup` object — Scheduled backup configuration (postgres only)
      - `access_credentials` object — S3 credentials used with backup (postgres only)
        - `accessKeyId` string
        - `secretAccessKey` string
      - `supabase` boolean — Enable the Supabase service layer (postgres only)
