# Get usage

`GET /v1/usage`

Returns the organization's credit usage for the current billing period, broken down by product area and by project.

## Response `200`

Current period usage

- UsageResponse
  - `plan` 'free' | 'pro' | 'enterprise' | 'self-hosted', required — Billing plan the organization is on.
  - `period` object, required — Billing period the usage figures cover.
    - `start` string, required — ISO-8601 start of the current billing period.
    - `end` string, required — ISO-8601 end of the current billing period, exclusive.
  - `credits` object, required — Credit position for the period.
    - `included` integer, nullable, required — Credits included in the plan for the period. `null` when the plan is unlimited.
    - `consumed` integer, required — Credits used so far this period, overage included.
    - `remaining` integer, nullable, required — Included credits still available. `null` when the plan is unlimited.
    - `overage` integer, required — Credits used beyond the included allowance.
  - `categories` UsageCategory[], required — Credits by product area across all projects, largest first.
    - `category` 'traces' | 'flaggers' | 'signals' | 'behaviors' | 'annotations' | 'other', required — Product area the credits were spent on.
    - `credits` integer, required — Credits spent in this category during the period.
  - `projects` UsageProject[], required — Credits by project, largest first.
    - `id` string, required — Stable project identifier.
    - `slug` string, nullable, required — Project slug. `null` when the project no longer exists.
    - `name` string, nullable, required — Project name. `null` when the project no longer exists.
    - `credits` integer, required — Credits the project spent during the period.
    - `categories` UsageCategory[], required — The project's credits by product area, largest first.
      - `category` 'traces' | 'flaggers' | 'signals' | 'behaviors' | 'annotations' | 'other', required — Product area the credits were spent on.
      - `credits` integer, required — Credits spent in this category during the period.

- `401` — Unauthorized
- `404` — Not found
