# Refresh an ID token (deprecated)

`POST /refresh`

## Request

> **Deprecated.**

**Deprecated:** Use `POST /auth` with `grant_type=refresh_token` instead. This endpoint is kept for backward compatibility. It answers with a `Deprecation: true` response header and a `Link` header with `rel="successor-version"`; no removal date has been set, so no `Sunset` header is sent yet.

Exchange a refresh token for a new ID token. This is a free endpoint — no x402 payment required.

## Request body

- object
  - `refresh_token` string, required: The refresh token received from /auth or a previous refresh call

## Response `200`

Refreshed auth credentials and user ID

- object
  - `auth` AuthCredentials
    - `id_token` string: ID token — use as Bearer token for Laso Finance APIs
    - `refresh_token` string: Use with POST /auth (grant_type=refresh_token) to get a new id_token when it expires
    - `expires_in` string: Token lifetime in seconds
  - `user_id` string: The user's ID (lowercase wallet address)

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing refresh_token in request body
- `401`: Token is invalid or revoked
