# Deactivate a workspace user

`POST /user-management/v1/deactivate-user`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.langdock.com`
- URL: `https://api.langdock.com/user-management/v1/deactivate-user`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Removes a user from the workspace by email. The user immediately loses access,
but all their data (conversations, assistants, files, integrations) is preserved
and restored if they are re-added later.

## Request body

- UserEmailRequest
  - `email` string, email, required: Email address of the user

## Response `200`

User deactivated successfully

- UserManagementResponse
  - `status` 'success', required: Always "success" when the request is processed
  - `message` string, required: Human-readable summary of the result

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized - API key is missing, invalid, or the key creator was not found
- `404`: User not found or not an active member
- `500`: Internal server error
