# Create a prompt

`POST /prompts/v1`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.langdock.com`
- URL: `https://api.langdock.com/prompts/v1`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a prompt in your workspace.

## Request body

- CreatePromptRequest
  - `title` string, required: Prompt title.
  - `prompt` string, required: Prompt content.
  - `promptFolderId` string, uuid: Folder UUID to assign. Cannot be set when sharedWithWorkspace is true.
  - `sharedWithWorkspace` boolean: Share the prompt with the workspace. Cannot be true when promptFolderId is set.

Prompt created successfully

    - `id` string, uuid, required: Unique identifier for the prompt.
    - `title` string, required: Prompt title.
    - `prompt` string, required: Prompt content.
    - `createdBy` string, uuid, nullable: User ID of the prompt creator.
    - `promptFolderId` string, uuid, nullable: Folder ID the prompt is assigned to.
    - `sharedWithWorkspace` boolean, required: Whether the prompt is shared with the workspace.
    - `createdAt` string, date-time, nullable: ISO 8601 timestamp for prompt creation.
    - `updatedAt` string, date-time, nullable: ISO 8601 timestamp for the latest prompt update.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request body
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Missing required scope, share permission, or folder write access
- `404`: Prompt folder not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
- `500`: Internal server error
