# Create a prompt folder

`POST /prompts/v1/folders`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.langdock.com`
- URL: `https://api.langdock.com/prompts/v1/folders`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a prompt folder in your workspace.

## Request body

- CreatePromptFolderRequest
  - `name` string, required: Folder name.
  - `sharedWithWorkspace` boolean: Share the folder with the workspace. Cannot be true when sharedWithGroupId is set.
  - `sharedWithGroupId` string, uuid: Group UUID to share with. Cannot be set when sharedWithWorkspace is true.

## Response `201`

Prompt folder created successfully

  - `folder` PromptFolder, required
    - `id` string, uuid, required: Unique identifier for the prompt folder.
    - `name` string, required: Folder name.
    - `createdBy` string, uuid, required: User ID of the folder creator.
    - `sharedWithWorkspace` boolean, required: Whether the folder is shared with the workspace.
    - `sharedWithGroupId` string, uuid, nullable: Group ID the folder is shared with.
    - `createdAt` string, date-time, required: ISO 8601 timestamp for folder creation.
    - `updatedAt` string, date-time, required: ISO 8601 timestamp for the latest folder update.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request body
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Missing required scope or share permission
- `404`: Group not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
- `500`: Internal server error
