# Update a prompt folder

`PATCH /prompts/v1/folders/{folderId}`

## Request

Updates an existing prompt folder in your workspace.

## Path parameters

- `folderId` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- UpdatePromptFolderRequest
  - `name` string: Folder name.
  - `sharedWithWorkspace` boolean: Share the folder with the workspace.
  - `sharedWithGroupId` string, uuid, nullable: Group UUID to share with, or null to disconnect the group.

Prompt folder updated successfully

    - `id` string, uuid, required: Unique identifier for the prompt folder.
    - `name` string, required: Folder name.
    - `createdBy` string, uuid, required: User ID of the folder creator.
    - `sharedWithWorkspace` boolean, required: Whether the folder is shared with the workspace.
    - `sharedWithGroupId` string, uuid, nullable: Group ID the folder is shared with.
    - `createdAt` string, date-time, required: ISO 8601 timestamp for folder creation.
    - `updatedAt` string, date-time, required: ISO 8601 timestamp for the latest folder update.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request body
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Missing required scope or manage access
- `404`: Prompt folder or group not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
- `500`: Internal server error
