# Get a prompt

`GET /prompts/v1/{promptId}`

Retrieves a prompt by ID from your workspace.

## Path parameters

- `promptId` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

Prompt returned successfully

  - `prompt` Prompt, required
    - `id` string, uuid, required: Unique identifier for the prompt.
    - `title` string, required: Prompt title.
    - `prompt` string, required: Prompt content.
    - `createdBy` string, uuid, nullable: User ID of the prompt creator.
    - `promptFolderId` string, uuid, nullable: Folder ID the prompt is assigned to.
    - `sharedWithWorkspace` boolean, required: Whether the prompt is shared with the workspace.
    - `createdAt` string, date-time, nullable: ISO 8601 timestamp for prompt creation.
    - `updatedAt` string, date-time, nullable: ISO 8601 timestamp for the latest prompt update.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid prompt ID
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Missing required scope or access
- `404`: Prompt not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
- `500`: Internal server error
