# Share a thread

`POST /api/v2/threads/{thread_id}/share`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.smith.langchain.com`
- URL: `https://api.smith.langchain.com/api/v2/threads/{thread_id}/share`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - API key in header `X-Tenant-Id`
  - HTTP bearer

Mints a public share token for a thread. Idempotent: sharing an
already-shared thread returns the existing token.

## Path parameters

- `thread_id` string, required

## Request body

- ThreadshareCreateShareTokenRequestBody
  - `project_id` string, uuid, required: project_id is the tracing project UUID containing the thread.

## Response `200`

OK

- ThreadshareShareTokenResponseBody
  - `share_token` string, uuid

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not Found
- `500`: Internal Server Error
- `501`: Not Implemented
