# Read a thread's share state

`GET /api/v2/threads/{thread_id}/share`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.smith.langchain.com`
- URL: `https://api.smith.langchain.com/api/v2/threads/{thread_id}/share`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - API key in header `X-Tenant-Id`
  - HTTP bearer

Returns the share token for a thread. The token is omitted when
the thread is not shared. Gated on runs:share so the control's
state matches the control's permission.

## Path parameters

- `thread_id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `project_id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

share_token is omitted when the thread is not shared

- ThreadshareShareTokenResponseBody
  - `share_token` string, uuid

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `500`: Internal Server Error
