# Update Licensee

`POST /licensee/{licenseeNumber}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://go.netlicensing.io/core/v2/rest`

- Auth: HTTP basic

Sets the provided properties to a Licensee. Return an updated Licensee

## Path parameters

- `licenseeNumber` string, required

## Request body `application/x-www-form-urlencoded`

- object
  - `number` string: New Licensee number (update).
  - `active` boolean: If set to 'false', the Licensee is disabled. Licensee can not obtain new Licenses, and validation is disabled
  - `name` string
  - `markedForTransfer` boolean: Mark Licensee for transfer.

## Response `200`

  - `infos` Infos
  - `items` Items

## Other responses

- `400`: Malformed or illegal request
- `402`: Quota exceeded
- `403`: Access is denied
- `404`: Resource not found
- `500`: Internal service error
