# SetSharePin

`POST /kythene.v1.KytheneService/SetSharePin`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://kythene.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

SetSharePin sets, changes or (with an empty pin) clears a share code's
 second-factor PIN, WITHOUT changing the code - so rotating the PIN never
 invalidates the link already sent. A wrong-PIN lockout is reset.

## Headers

- `Connect-Protocol-Version` 1, required: Define the version of the Connect protocol
- `Connect-Timeout-Ms` number: Define the timeout, in ms

## Request body

- KytheneV1SetSharePinRequest
  - `id` string: id is the share code to set the PIN on (from list_share_codes).
  - `pin` string: pin is the second-factor PIN to require: 4-8 digits, not an obvious sequence. An EMPTY pin CLEARS it. Never returned. The code (link) is unchanged.
  - `space` string: space optionally selects which of your spaces to act in (an id or name from list_spaces). Omit it when you belong to a single space.
