# Offer a copy of this backup to another space

`POST /spaces/{spaceId}/backups/{backupId}/shares`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://krova.cloud/api/v1`
- URL: `https://krova.cloud/api/v1/spaces/{spaceId}/backups/{backupId}/shares`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-KEY`

Requires `backup.manage`. Creates a pending share request that the destination space accepts within 48 hours: its owner, or a member there with `backup.manage`, in the dashboard or with an API key of their own. On acceptance the destination gets its own copy of the backup and pays backup storage for it from that moment; this space's backup is unchanged. A request made with an API key never completes immediately, even when the key's user owns both spaces.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `403`: Authenticated but lacks the required permission
- `404`: Resource not found
- `409`: The backup is not complete, is being deleted, is already in that space, or already has a pending share request for it
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded (10 mutations / 60s)
