# Decline a backup share offered to this space

`POST /spaces/{spaceId}/backup-shares/{shareId}/decline`

## Request

Requires an API key of this space's owner, or of a member with `backup.manage`.

    - `counterpartySpaceName` string, required: The other space in this share: the destination on an outgoing share, the source on an incoming one.
    - `copyBackupId` string, nullable, required: The destination space's own copy, once the share is accepted.

    - `createdAt` string, date-time, required

## Other responses

- `403`: Authenticated but lacks the required permission
- `409`: The request is no longer pending
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded (10 mutations / 60s)
