# Resolve a name or id to the id each endpoint accepts

`GET /search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://kresmion.com/v1`
- URL: `https://kresmion.com/v1/search`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

One lookup across the id kinds the API takes. `q` may be a company name, a ticker (a renamed ticker points at the current one), a CIK, a prediction market (numeric Polymarket id, slug, condition id or a polymarket.com URL; otherwise words from the question, open markets by volume), or a FRED series id or label (only series Kresmion fetches). Each hit carries `kind`, `id` (what to pass), `label`, `match` (how it matched: exact, alias, prefix, contains, fuzzy, cik, renamed, id, slug, condition_id, url, question) and `use_with`, the endpoints that take that id. Exact identifier matches come first. Identifiers only: no prices or values. `kinds` narrows the search (comma-separated: company, crypto, index, commodity, forex, prediction_market, fred_series); `limit` caps hits per kind.
