# BIS statistics

`GET /macro/bis`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Bank for International Settlements observations (policy rates, total credit, debt-service ratios, credit gap, effective exchange rates). Filter by dataflow and/or country code (ISO-2). Monthly/quarterly cadence, source-dependent (policy rates also carry a daily series). Each row carries `country_name` (all 36 policy-rate jurisdictions are named; XM is the euro area). Pass `latest=true` for the newest observation per dataflow and country.

## Query parameters

- `dataflow` string, nullable: BIS dataflow code (e.g. WS_CBPOL, WS_TC, WS_DSR).
- `country` string, nullable: ISO-2 country code.
- `limit` integer
- `latest` boolean: Phase 643A: true returns only the newest observation per (dataflow, country), e.g. every jurisdiction's current policy rate with dataflow=WS_CBPOL. Default false keeps the original ordering.
