# Record a cash flow (deposit or withdrawal)

`POST /strategies/{strategy_uuid}/cash_flows`

## Path parameters

- `strategy_uuid` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- CashFlowCreateRequest
  - `flow_type` 'deposit' | 'withdrawal', required
  - `amount` number, required
  - `notes` string
  - `occurred_on` string, date: Date the cash flow occurred. Defaults to today.

    - `signed_amount` number: Positive for deposits, negative for withdrawals

- `401`: Unauthorized
