# Upload attachments

`POST /threads/{thread-id}/attachments`

## Request

Uploads files to a thread you own. Use the returned IDs in attachment_ids when sending a message. Uploads alone do not send a message. Accepts the same file types and limits as the web app: up to 5 files per upload request and 25 uploaded files total per thread. A message may reference files from multiple upload requests. Use a distinct multipart field name for each file, such as attachments[0], attachments[1].
