# Returns the status of an AI subtitle generation

`GET /dam/files/{file_id}/subtitle-generations/{generation_id}`

## Request

Reports a subtitle generation. While it is queued or processing the answer is 200 with a Retry-After header in seconds. Once completed the answer is 303 See Other with a Location header pointing to the file's subtitle tracks, and the generation in the body. A generation that ended without adding every track answers 200 with the reason in status. Generations are kept for a month; an older one answers 404.
