# Create AI Model implementation

`POST /v1/ai-models/{aiModelId}/implementations`

Creates an implementation record for the AI Model. Returns `409` if the model has an existing implementation.

## Request body

- AiModelImplementationCreate — Request body for linking an AI Model to an AI Gateway model.
  - `gateway_control_plane_id` string, uuid, required — The AI Gateway control plane uuid the model belongs to.
  - `gateway_model_id` string, required — The text or uuid identifier of the AI Gateway model to link.

## Response `201`

The created implementation

- AiModelImplementation — AI Model Implementation.
  - `id` string, uuid, required — The unique identifier of the implementation (link) record.
  - `ai_model_id` string, uuid, required — The identifier of the parent AI Model.
  - `gateway_control_plane_id` string, uuid, required — The AI Gateway control plane uuid the linked model belongs to.
  - `gateway_model_id` string, required — The text or uuid identifier of the linked AI Gateway model.
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required — An ISO-8601 timestamp representation of entity creation date.
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, required — An ISO-8601 timestamp representation of entity update date.
