# Create a Stripe payment intent for deposit

`POST /api/stripe/create-deposit-intent`

## Request

Creates a payment intent for a user to make a deposit or pay for a pro campaign

## Request body

- object
  - `userId` string, required: Clerk user ID for authentication
  - `amount` number, required: Amount to charge in USD
  - `paymentMethodId` string: Optional Stripe payment method ID to use for the charge

## Response `200`

Payment intent created successfully

- object
  - `clientSecret` string: Stripe client secret for the payment intent
  - `paymentIntentId` string: ID of the created payment intent
  - `customerId` string: Stripe customer ID

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request - missing required parameters
- `500`: Error processing payment
