# Update Vendor Contact

Update a contact's editable fields. Both `role` and the custom field values
are scoped to this vendor's link row, so the same person carries an
independent set at every vendor that lists them.

## Request body

- UpdateVendorContactRequest: The contact's whole editable surface. A replace, not a patch: an omitted `role` clears it, and the custom field values overwrite what is stored. Custom fields are the one exception — omitting them leaves the stored set alone, so a client whose editor has not loaded yet cannot wipe it. Each field is cleared by sending it with an empty payload, not by leaving it out.
