# Get Files Metadata

`GET /files/metadata`

## Request

Get metadata for multiple files by their file_ids in a single request.

Batch companion to GET /files/file/{file_id}: callers that need several
files (e.g. after a multi-file upload) should hit this once instead of
fanning out one request per file, which can exhaust the DB connection pool.
Missing/inaccessible ids are simply omitted from the response map.
