# Update Webhook Endpoint

`POST /webhook-endpoints/{id}/update`

Update a webhook endpoint's URL or description.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `environment` 'development' | 'production', required: The environment the webhook endpoint belongs to. Must match your access token's environment.
  - `url` string, uri: The new URL. Must be a public `https` URL. Max 2083 characters.
  - `description` string, nullable: The new description, or `null` to remove it. Max 255 characters.

## Response `200`

Successful request.

- WebhookEndpoint
  - `id` string: Unique identifier for the webhook endpoint.
  - `url` string: The URL Knot sends webhooks to.
  - `description` string, nullable: A description of the webhook endpoint, or `null` if none.
  - `environment` 'development' | 'production': The environment the webhook endpoint belongs to.
  - `created_at` string, date-time: When the webhook endpoint was created, in ISO 8601 format.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request.
- `401`: Unauthorized request.
- `403`: Forbidden request.
- `429`: Too many requests.
- `500`: Internal server error.
