# Disconnect Account

`POST /development/accounts/disconnect`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://development.knotapi.com`

- Auth: HTTP basic

Change a merchant account's connection status to disconnected and subsequently fire the ACCOUNT_LOGIN_REQUIRED webhook.

## Request body

- object
  - `external_user_id` string, required: Unique identifier for the user.
  - `merchant_id` integer, required: Unique identifier for the merchant.

## Response `200`

Successful request.

- object
  - `message` string: Success message.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request.
- `401`: Unauthorized request.
- `500`: Internal server error.
