# Retrieve specific asset

`GET /assets/{asset_id}`

Retrieve a specific [asset](#tag/asset_model)'s information, given their asset ID. When an asset created by `/assets/generate` fails to generate, it is deleted but stays retrievable for 3 days with `deleted` set to `true`, `ai_generation_status` set to `failed` and the reason in `ai_generation_error`. After that it returns 404.

      - `deleted` boolean: Whether the asset has been deleted. Only true for an asset whose AI generation failed in the last 3 days; other deleted assets return 404.
      - `approval_status` 'draft' | 'review' | 'rejected' | 'approved' | 'completed', nullable, required: Where the asset is in your company's approval workflow.
