# Initialize monday sandbox with data

`POST /sandbox/monday/{sandbox_id}/initialize`

## Request

Initialize the sandbox with monday-specific data following the defined schema.

## Path parameters

- `sandbox_id` string, required: The unique sandbox identifier

## Query parameters

- `init_default_data` boolean: If true, use default test data for initialization

## Request body

- MondayDataInput: Complete Monday.com sandbox data structure. Relational structure for initialization: - Workspaces (optional, can be created separately) - Boards contain Groups - Groups contain Items - Items contain Updates and Subitems All objects support DELETE operations.
  - `workspaces` MondayWorkspaceInput[], nullable: List of workspaces
    - `name` string, required: Workspace name
    - `kind` string: Workspace kind (open, closed)
    - `description` string, nullable: Workspace description
  - `boards` MondayBoardInput[]: List of boards with their groups and items
    - `name` string, required: Board name
    - `description` string, nullable: Board description
    - `board_kind` string: Board kind (public, private, share)
    - `workspace_id` string, nullable: Workspace ID this board belongs to (for initialization)
    - `groups` MondayGroupInput[], nullable: Groups in this board
      - `title` string, required: Group title
      - `color` string, nullable: Group color (e.g., '#FF0000', 'red')
      - `items` MondayItemInput[], nullable: Items in this group
        - `name` string, required: Item name
        - `column_values` object, nullable: Column values as JSON object
        - `updates` MondayUpdateInput[], nullable: Updates/comments on this item
          - `body` string, required: Update text content
        - `subitems` MondaySubitemInput[], nullable: Subitems (nested items)
          - `name` string, required: Subitem name
          - `column_values` object, nullable: Column values as JSON object

- InitializeSandboxResponse: Response model for sandbox initialization
  - `sandbox_id` string, required: Sandbox identifier
  - `status` 'idle' | 'occupied' | 'error', required: Status of a sandbox instance - matches database enum
  - `message` string, required: Initialization result message
