# Initialize cal.com sandbox with data

`POST /sandbox/cal.com/{sandbox_id}/initialize`

Initialize the sandbox with cal.com-specific data following the defined schema.

## Path parameters

- `sandbox_id` string, required — The unique sandbox identifier

## Query parameters

- `init_default_data` boolean — If true, use default test data for initialization

## Request body

- CalcomDataInput — Complete Cal.com sandbox data structure
  - `schedules` CalcomSchedule[], nullable — List of schedules to create
    - `name` string, required — Human-readable schedule name
    - `timeZone` string, required — IANA timezone (e.g., 'America/New_York')
    - `isDefault` boolean — Whether this is the default schedule
    - `availability` TimeSlot[] — List of recurring time slots
      - `days` string[], required
      - `startTime` string, required
      - `endTime` string, required
    - `overrides` Override[] — List of date-specific availability overrides
      - `date` string, required
      - `startTime` string, required
      - `endTime` string, required

- InitializeSandboxResponse — Response model for sandbox initialization
  - `sandbox_id` string, required — Sandbox identifier
  - `status` 'idle' | 'occupied' | 'error', required — Status of a sandbox instance - matches database enum
  - `message` string, required — Initialization result message
