# Create a project

`POST /api/v1/projects`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.khotan.com`
- URL: `https://app.khotan.com/api/v1/projects`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Creates a project and its single root goal node. The slug is derived from the name when omitted and must be unique among the organization's live projects.

  - `slug` string: Derived from the name when omitted; conflicts return 409.
  - `description` string, nullable

## Response `201`

The created project.
