# Delete a spec node

`DELETE /api/v1/projects/{projectId}/spec/nodes/{nodeId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.khotan.com`
- URL: `https://app.khotan.com/api/v1/projects/{projectId}/spec/nodes/{nodeId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Soft-deletes the node and its descendants. The goal node cannot be deleted — delete the project instead.

## Path parameters

- `projectId` string, required
- `nodeId` string, required

## Response `204`

The node was deleted.

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication is missing or invalid.
- `403`: The caller is not permitted to perform this action.
- `404`: The resource was not found.
- `422`: Response.
- `429`: Too many requests; retry after the indicated delay.
