# Delete a project metric

`DELETE /api/v1/projects/{projectId}/metrics/{metricKey}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.khotan.com`
- URL: `https://app.khotan.com/api/v1/projects/{projectId}/metrics/{metricKey}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Removes the metric, its curation, and all of its points. A later report naming the same key creates a new metric with default curation.

## Path parameters

- `projectId` string, required
- `metricKey` string, required

## Response `204`

The metric and its points were deleted.

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication is missing or invalid.
- `403`: The caller is not permitted to perform this action.
- `404`: The resource was not found.
- `429`: Too many requests; retry after the indicated delay.
