# Detach a resource from a project

`DELETE /api/v1/projects/{projectId}/members`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.khotan.com`
- URL: `https://app.khotan.com/api/v1/projects/{projectId}/members`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Removes the membership. The underlying app, pipeline, or database is untouched.

- `projectId` string, required

## Request body

  - `resourceKind` 'app' | 'pipeline' | 'database' | 'file', required
  - `resourceId` string, required

## Response `204`

The membership was removed.

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication is missing or invalid.
- `403`: The caller is not permitted to perform this action.
- `404`: The resource was not found.
- `429`: Too many requests; retry after the indicated delay.
